Postdoctoral Professional Development: Cool Labs, Hot Topics at the Museum of Science, Boston.

Postdoctoral researchers developed talks for the Current Science & Technology Center (CSTC) at the Museum of Science, Boston. Prior to presentations that were part of a “Cool Labs, Hot Topics” event at the CSTC, postdoctoral researchers received suggestions from staff members at the Museum of Science in making their presentations more effective and feedback from participants in the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program. The students learned first-hand the care their mentors took in this process of preparation, practice and presentation. The REU students, in turn, followed the same steps with their mentors in developing their end of summer presentations.
