Three-dimensional Networks of Fluid Channels in PDMS.

George Whitesides

Three-dimensional networks of fluid channels in PDMS

Using soft lithographic methods, it is now possible to easily fabricate three-dimensional networks of fluid channels in PDMS; the figure above shows an example.
The ability to make three-dimensional fluidic networks makes it practical to carry out a number of experiments that involve complex fluid paths for delivery of materials to the surface of a support, or to carry out reactions on-chip that involve a number of components.
