MRSEC Events at the Museum of Science, Boston

 

Dr. Itai Cohen from the Materials Center giving a presentation on Soft Condensed Matter at the Current Science and Technology Center at the Museum of Science, Boston on Nov. 20, 2004. His presentation is aimed at parents and children with hands-on demonstrations are part of the effort in explaining ongoing Center research to the public in conjunction with the Strange Matter Exhibit currently being hosted by the museum.

 

In conjunction with the Strange Matter Exhibit (October 2, 2004 through January 3, 2005), faculty and postdocs from our MRSEC gave presentations at the Current Science and Technology Center at the Museum of Science, Boston which explain their research in materials science to the public.

Faculty gave presentations for parents and children focusing on how materials are put together, how they can be used, how they can be changed and improved. Topics included metals, ceramics, semiconductors, polymers, composites, biomaterials, and more.
