The Harvard MRSEC supported Center researchers to participate in the Digital Rock Workshop that was at the Schlumberger-Doll Research Laboratory in Cambridge. Leading scientists spoke from the Center's industrial partners at Chevron, Halliburton, iRock, Schlumberger, and Thermo Fisher Scientific, including many international researchers. MRSEC graduate students (top) and postdoctoral fellows spoke on their work. The keynote address was given by James Rice, with MRSEC participating researchers). The two-day workshop drew over 100 attendees, and provided current information on the new imaging methods in materials science now being applied to important petrophysical problems, and stimulated discussions on new directions for these partnerships.
