Graduate and Postdoctoral Professional Development

Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers participate in our many educational activities, from mentoring REU students and collaborating with RET participants, to developing and delivering interactive science presentations for the public and K-12 students.

Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are interested in becoming mentors for REU students have the opportunity to meet with experienced mentors in several orientation sessions prior to the summer REU program. Mentors may also develop skills workshops for REU participants.

Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers may also participate in our presentations skills workshop for REU students, led by education associates at the Museum of Science, Boston. This workshop is an opportunity for postdocs and graduate students to receive feedback on presentations developed for the public, and subsequently present at the Museum of Science, Boston.
